📋 About the CogAT

The CogAT (Cognitive Abilities Test) is the most widely used group-administered cognitive abilities test for K-12 students in the United States. Published by Riverside Insights (formerly Houghton Mifflin Harcourt), it measures reasoning abilities in three domains: verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal. The test is primarily used to identify students for gifted and talented programs, place students appropriately, and evaluate learning abilities independent of what has been taught in school.
