📋 About the FE Exam

The FE Exam, administered by NCEES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying), costs $175 USD, takes approximately 6 hours to complete, and scores on a 200-800 scale. Results are valid for 5 years.

The FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam is the first step toward professional engineering licensure (PE). It tests fundamental engineering knowledge and is typically taken during or after your engineering degree. Passing makes you an EIT (Engineer in Training) or EI.
