The GED (General Educational Development) is the most recognized high school equivalency credential in the United States and Canada. Developed by the GED Testing Service (a joint venture of ACE and Pearson), it demonstrates that test-takers have academic skills equivalent to high school graduates. California High School Proficiency Examination - California only. For ages 16+ or completing 10th grade. Awards Certificate of Proficiency, different from diploma.
